André & Max
Två gånger varje år, en gång på våren och en på hösten , träffas hela familjen ute på Johannero för att påbörja respektive avsluta säsongen här ute. Medan gamlingarna och ungdomarna hjälps åt att sätta ut eller bära in utemöbler, klippa gräs, trimma gräs eller beskära träd/buskar, rengöra trädgårdsredskap, etc, etc, ägnar sig idag André ( Hanna´s pojkvän ) åt att hjälpa Max med program på Paddan. När han inte spelar fotboll med Max.
Skönt att slippa ha dåligt samvete för att vi inte ägnar tid åt yngstingen, dessa dagar. TACK, André !
Och TACK, Max för att du hjälper André att fördriva tiden!
Nu ses vi nästa gång här ute i mars- april 2015.
VÄLKOMNA alla familjemedlemmar !
Twice every year, one weekend during the springtime and once during the fall, we all meet in our family at Johannero in order to prepare the start or the finish of the season out here, by out leisure place, Johannero.
While the elderly part of the family and the middle part of the three generations are assisting each others carrying out door furniture, mowe the lawn, trim the gass or to cut the trees and the bushes, cleaning the garden equipment, and so on , today André ( Hanna´s boyfriend ) is devoting hours to assist Max with programmes on the iPad.
When he doesn´t play soccer along with Max.
We, the elderlies, are grateful , since we don´t feel like behaving badly, not spending time with Max, so:

Here we are about to have a walk in the forest looking for mushrooms. And the result was better than expected.
Svamprensning ; Mushrooms to be cleaned
Nu ska svampen rensas ifrån diverse skräp. Och den torra skogsluften ska bli sundare med hjälp av Ubbe´s TALISKER. Max håller sig till ny, färskpressad äpplemust.
Båda resultat blev helt acceptabla.
Here the mushrooms are to be cleaned from pine needels and moss.
And the dry forest air must be more healthy by means of a bottle of TALISKER.

OKTOBERFEST September 20, 2014. Saturday = introduction day.
I maj någon gång fick jag ett samtal av sonen Oscar, som meddelade att han bokat in mig och barnbarnet Hugo till en tre generationers besök i München i oktober för årets OKTOBERFEST.
En födelsedagspresent ifrån honom till sin gamle, trötte fader. Ingen dålig present ,eftersom jag i många, många år alltid önskat att komma hit.
Och nu är vi där! FANTASTISKT !!!
Man förväntar sig att 300000 personer ska delta i denna fest, idag , på ett eller annat sätt. Och att en förbrukning av minimum 7 miljoner liter öl kommer att konsumeras, innan festivalen är över.
Av besökare ifrån hela världen.
Nu ska tregenerations Sundström fira och vara tillsammans under dagarna tre. Vilken resa!
Last month of May I received a call from our son, Oscar, who informed me that he had booked me, himself along with our sons son, Hugo, to a three generations visit in Munich forthcoming October in order to celebrate the introduction day of this years OKTOBERFEST ¨which starts on September 20, 2014. Oscar had booked us into the MERRIOTT COURTYARD HOTEL which is located on a walking distance of both the Central railway station and the site of the OKTOBERFEST. We flew down and took the train, 50 minutes in to the Central station.
This was his birthday gift to his old and tired father, he said. Not bad, or ??
And : Here we are ! FANTASTIC !!!
Approximately three hundred people are expected to participate in todays celebrations in one way or another.
A consumption of 7 million litres of beer during the entire festival period 10- 14 days ahead, I don´t know the exact time this festival will proceed.
Visitors from all over the world will participate. Hotels are fully booked since months back. and, and, and...
Now we´ll celebrate, the three Sundströms . What a trip !!!
"VÅRT" TÄLT ; "OUR" TENT.
Detta är "vårt " tält där vi ska uppleva en del av årets OKTOBERFEST.
Oscar och Hugo är nu laddade att besöka detta ställe under en stor del av resten av introduktionsdagen.
Alla platser i alla dessa tält är fullständigt uppbokade sedan många, många månader tillbaka och hade inte Oscar fått sin SIEMENS-kollega, Magnus att se till att vi, tre generationer Sundström, fått sitta vid deras bord hade vi aldrig kommit in . Vi är priviligerade med andra ord.
Tyvärr fick Oscar inte ta med sig ryggsäcken in så den tvingades han bära tillbaka till hotellet, innan han kunde ta sig in.
I mellantiden scoutade Hugo och jag området i stort. Det är alltid bra att vara ute i god tid!
Vårt tält, ett av de större om än inte störst, rymmer 5830 peroner inomhus. Plus något tusental till, utomhus.
This is "our" tent where we shall enjoy part of the OKTOBERFEST 2014.
Oscar and Hugo now are fully prepared to visit this place during the major part of the remaining time of this introduction day, September 20, 2014.
All places in these tents are completely fully booked since many, many months back. Hadn´t Oscar been assisted by his SIEMENS colleague, Magnus to be sitting by one of their tables we would never have been permitted entrance. We are priviliged in other words.
Unfortunatley Oscar was not permitted to enter with his rucksack on his back ( containing only three umbrellas and my rain jacket ) so he had to return to the hotel before he could join in.
In the meantime Hugo and I scouted the area by and large making ourselves acquinted with the site of the OKTOBERFEST. It´s alway good to be out well in time for any meeting whereever or whenever you have an
appointment to make.
"Our" tent have seats for 5830 persons inside. Plus a thousand plus seats outdoors! It even though it is one of the larger tents it still isn´t the most spacious one.

Å andra sidan ingår i det pris våra vänner avtalat om , 2 x 1 lter PAULANER öl plus en halv grillad, underbart god, knaprig och ändå saftig kyckling. "Wies´n-Hendl" .Per person alltså.
För avgiften man betalar in får man ett antal kuponger och vill man ha annat ur menyn eller mera av något annat betalar man extra till den servitris som är ansvarig för våra tre bord om 10 personer vid varje enskilt bord.

On the other hand included in the price our friends have committed to meet there is 2 x 1 litre of PAULANER beer plus half a grilled chicken, a "Wies´n-Hendl". Per person that is.
To pay you exchange a number of coupons you have received against the agreed expenditure and in case you want anything else or more of the above mentioned you pay in cash, Euros. Plus a service fee to the lady servant who i is responsible for our tables. These servants make between 10 - 20000 Euros during the time of the festival, 14 days. Not bad but they have to work very,very hard these days !
REHBOCK ARMBRUSTSCHÜTZENZELT
I denna avdelning, som ligger långt ner till höger vid sidan om alla de långbord, som finns i mitten av tältet, ska vi tillbringa kommande timmar mellan 11.00 och 17.00, när andra sittningen tar plats för dagens aktiviteter . Då måste vi lämna stället.
Vi är i god tid så än har inga gäster anlänt. Magnus, Oscar´s kollega har beordrat oss att träffa honom här absolut senast 11.00. Och nu vet vi alltså var vi ska mötas.
In this room far down on the right hand side of all those longdesks there are in the middle of our tent we shall spend the forthcoming hours 11 a.m until 5 p.m, when the second sitting will take place. Then we must leave.
We are well ahead of time and so far no other guests have arrived.
Magnus, Oscar´s colleague has ordered us to meet him here absolutely not one minute later than 11 a.m.
Consequently, now we know where to meet.
AUGUSTINER- BRÄU
AUGUSTINER är ett stort bryggeri bland många andra. Och dess öl testade vi ju redan igår kväll under besöket i AUGUSTINER KELLER, Münchens största utomhus ölhall.
Another of the major breweries. Its beer we tested already last night when visiting the AUGUSTINER KELLER, the biggest outdoor beer hall in all of Munich.
PAULANER
Detta är mitt favoritöl bland de sorter vi testade. Vi hann ju inte med sååå många sorter. Förstås. För varje krus rymmer ju trots allt 1 liter vardera !
This is my personal favorite among those beers I tested.
We didn´t test that many different kinds though. Naturally . Since every individual pitcher takes one litre each.
VINTÄLT ; Wine tents ;
Det finns , förutom alla öltält, även några enstaka vintält. Men det är klart att OKTOBERFEST rör sig om ölkonsumtion mer än någonting annat.
There are, besides all the beer tents, also a few wine tents.
However OKTOBERFEST is mainly a question of beer consumption . More than anything else.
ÖL TORN ; BEER TOWERS ;
Två av de allra största bryggerierna i Münchendistriktet är PAULANER med sitt torn och sitt "tält" till vänster i bild.
På höger sida ser man LÖWENBRÄU´s torn med sitt "tält". Dessa båda torn är ju utmärkta mötesplatser.

On the right hand side you can see the LÖWENBRÄU tower with its tent close by.
Both of these towers are excellent meeting points of the entire area.
PISSOARER; URINALS ;
Det finns ett generöst antal pissoarer i mer eller mindre varje tvärgata mellan tälten. Förutom den som, förstås, finns inne i varje enskilt tält. Det lär konsumeras 7 miljoner liter öl under festivalen.
Och vill man njuta av intäkten måste man också räkna med utgifter. Trots långa köer kommer man igenom dessa ställen förvånansvärt snabbt.
Rent och snyggt håller man dessutom.
There are numerous urinals to be found everywhere, well signed. It is said there is a consumption of 7 million litres of beer during this festival.
And as long as you want to enjoy the income you must count on expenditures.
In spite of long cues one will pass these urinals astonishing quickly.
And they keep these places extremely clean and tidy.

Min absoluta favoriträtt varje gång jag besöker Tyskland.
SCHWEINSHAXE eller knapergrillade fläskben på svenska.
I norra Tyskland kokar man samma fläsklägg och då heter den EISBEIN i stället. Också den en delikatess, som helst ska ätas tillsammans med sauerkraut eller surkål.
My definitive favor dish every time I visit Germany.
It´s named SCHWEINSHAXE and they are deep grilled pork legs.
In northern Germany they prefer boiled pork leg and then they name it EISBEIN. Another delicacy to be eaten alon with sauerkraut .

Such grill stations you can find all over the place including those which have their own stations in the respective beer tent.

OKTOBERFEST DAG 1: SLUT End of Day 1, September 20, 2014.
Detta ställe, WILDSTUBEN, blev vi inbjudna till att besöka för att dricka "WEISSBIER", innan det var dags att ta sig hem innan det blev mörkt. Personligen är jag ingen uppskattare av denna öltyp, som bryggs av vete, men vi hade trevliga timmar här ändå. Slutligen blev vi medbjudna av vårt värdfolk att besöka deras kvarterskrog, i en annan del av Munchen ,där vi fick en utsökt italiensk middag , så detta har varit en helt fantastisk dag att få uppleva!
TACK alla goa, nya vänner: Hanna, Eva, Maja och Uli. Samt får grabbarna vara med: Magnus och Sascha inte minst.
We were invited to visit this place, WILDSTUBEN, enabling us to try and drink "WEISSBIER" before it was time for our homeward bound before the dark would arrive. Personally I am no fan of this kind of beer, being brewn from wheat and still we enjoyed a few nice hours here. Finally at the end of the late afternoon, early evening we were brought by our hosts to visit their home restaurant in another part of Münich, where we ate a superb, Italian supper, so this has been a fantastic day to experience !

Här köar människor runt hela kvarter, innan de kommer fram hit där dörrarna snart?? ska öppnas för att man ska få tillfälle att teckna sig för ( ännu inte köpa, alltså ! ) den senaste varianten av APPLE´s iPHONE 6.
Helt otroligt. För jag antar att nio av tio redan har en iPhone i fickan. Men den är ju i så fall helt omodern , nu när 6:an ska börja att säljas! Detta är MARKNADSFÖRING !!!

Incredible indeed. Because i believe tahat nine out of ten of these people alrady have an i PHONE in their pockets. But htne that o"old one" now is out of date when the edition No 6 is to be sold into the market.

Lunch dag 1 . Lunch Day 1.
Här äter Oscar och jag Schweinshaxe med knudeln , medan Hugo äter en Gulaschsoppa.
Tyvärr var haxen inte helt nystekt så den var torr. Dessvärre.
Hugo var mycket nöjd med sin soppa så helt fel blev det ändå inte.
Krogen heter "zum SPÄCKMEIER" och den ligger i gamla staden.
Here Oscar and I are eating Schweinshaxe with knudlen ( boiled potatoballs) and Hugo is eating a Gulaschsoup.
Unfortunately the haxe wasn´t all newly fried so it was simply too dry. Too bad indeed!
Hugo however was pleased with his soup so something ended up right anyhow.
The name of the restaurant is "zum SPÄCKMEIER " and it is located inside the old town area.
HOFBRÄUHAUS BEERHALL
I gamla staden ligger denna ölhall, som en gång i tiden var centrum för HOFBRÄUHAUS, en av flera dominerande ölproducenter i München. Vi promenerade hit för att få se öltillverknng men det sket sig . Själva bryggeriet ligger långt utanför innerstaden, så ...
In the old town of Munich this is the site of HOFBRÄUHAUS, one of several major beer producers in Munich. We went heer in the hope of studying the process of beer manufacturing but all in vain. The brewery behind the beer is located outside the city so here is nowadys "just" a big beerhall.
AUGUSTINER-KELLER
Så var dag 2 på väg mot sitt slut. Vi promenerade en bra stund till detta ställe, som lär vara Münchens största utomhus ölhall och nog var parkområdet både stort och välbefolkat. Vi lyckades få sitta vid ett stort, runt bord tillsammans med fyra unga damer som kom ifrån Nya Zealand för att få uppleva OKTOBERFEST. Precis när vi inmundigat vår måltid kom regnet. Skyfall! Så här står vi nu under ett taksprång och har det trevligt tillsammans med tre andra svenskar . Sent omsider slutade regnet och vi kunde promenera hem igen efter ytterligare en öl på vägen. Trots regnet är ju luften alltid torr här i München, ölets huvudstad.
Day No 2 was approaching its end. We walked quite a distance to this place which supposedly is Munich´s largest beer hall, outside, that is. We managed to find a place to sit while eating our supper and we shared a big, round table with four young ladies who came all the way from New Zealand to visit OKTOBERFEST. Just when we had finished our meal the rain started falling. Head on ! So here we are standing underneath part of a roof and enjoying the company of three other Swedes. After quite a while, maybe three quarters of an hour ?, we could start our walk back home again after sipping another beer on the way.
In spite of the rain the air is always dry here in Munich, the capital of beer.

Sista dagen i München söndagen den 21 september 2014, planerade vi in för att besöka BMW på förmiddagen innan OKTOBERFEST-besöket skulle avslutas med ännu ett besök ute på festivalområdet.
Och alla som besöker just München rekommenderar vi att besöka BMW . Som står för Bayrische Motoren Werke. Eller på svenska, Bayerns Motor Verkstäder.
Our last day in Munich, Sunday September 21 2014 we planned to go to vist BMW in the morning hours. In the afternoon we were proceeding to the festival area once again before heading back home to Kastrup airport with final destination Rydebäck, Sweden.
Everyone who is to visit Munich we do recommend a visit also to BMW. The name stands for Bayrische Motoren Werke, freely translated into The Motor Workshops of Bayern.

BMW äger ju numera engelsmännes absoluta stolthet : ROLLS ROYCE och detta är en av de klassiska modeller , som nu byggs i tysk regi. " GHOST " eller ANDEN, på svenska ( inte fågeln förstås ) heter just denna modell.

BMW huvudkontor ser ut som lutande tornet i Pisa. Men det beror på fotografen och inte tornets konstruktion.
Ultramoderna byggnader finns här runt omkring så BMW sparar inte på arkitektkostnader och/eller konstruktionskostnader. Vilket bevisas av deras produkters kvalitet också. Bilar eller motorcyklar: allt är av absolut högsta klass.

Tyvärr blev detta sista bilden under resan,för därefter var batterierna till både kamera och telefon slut. Filmade också mycket så det tar på krafterna. För batterierna, alltså.
Oscar och jag tog vars en "Münchener" , som är en vit, mycket smakrik korv. Hugo är alltid hungrig så han ville ha en Bamsekorv. En hel måltid, bara den.
Varför kan inte svenska slakterier göra sådana här smakrika korvar???
Unfortunately this is the last picture during our stay because the batteries of both the camera and the telephone were exhausted due to a lot of filming as well.
Oscar and I grabbed each a Münchener sausage, which a white, very tastful sausage. Hugo however is always hungry so he chose a biggie. A full meal just that one as can be seen.
Why can we not find tasteful sausages like these in Sweden?

Sååå gott om röda flugsvampar det finns i skogarna. Och nog är de vackra , eller hur?
There are numerous Fly agarics or Fly amanita in the woods these days. Not delicious or edible at all, but pretty they are indeed.

Några hittade vi när vi vsr ute för att leta godingar idag 13 september 2014.
We found some good ones when we today went into the woods trying to find mushrooms of various kinds.
Erland´s jordkällare. The root cellar Erland built.
Denn akällare byggde Erlnad för några år sedan och här nere håller sig ölen sval! Och trappstegen riskerar att snart att ha slitits ut.
Below the house Erland built this root cellar where the beer remains cool and handy. The steps however are soon being worn out.
