Bigården Johannero

 

She painted this picture in 1981 and I purchased it in the

ADELAIDE ART MUSEUM in 1983.

 

She had offered it as a contribution to some of the victims of the devastating bushfires down there in 1983.

 

It shows South Australia' s State flower, STURTS DESERT PEA or KANGAROO EYE, MARU KURU in the Aboriginal language.

 

I had it sent to Sydney where I picked it up after having proceeded to Melbourne and a two weekend trip around in New Zealand.
